AFME PED-06 Contractor and Installation Management Toolkit
A practical control system for contractor mobilisation, construction and installation work in an operating food factory. It brings together project engineering, health and safety, CDM 2015, permits to work, isolation, food safety and hygiene protection, installation quality, change control and work-area handback. Which to use: use this for project and installation work; the site-wide rules for every contractor are in CMS-01 Contractor Management Standard.

1. Complete the CDM applicability screen and appoint duty holders early. 2. Check contractor competence and challenge generic RAMS before anyone arrives on site. 3. Agree permits, isolation boundaries and hygiene segregation for each task. 4. Inspect installation quality as work proceeds and only accept the work area back after a formal hygiene and safety handback.
