Using the AFME website

The Association of Food Manufacturing Engineers provides this website, member resources, directories, community features and technical content for information, professional development and industry participation.

Technical information

AFME content is intended to support professional engineering judgement. It is not a substitute for site-specific risk assessment, competent engineering assessment, manufacturer instructions, legal duties or applicable food-safety and health-and-safety requirements.

Member and community content

Members are responsible for ensuring that information they submit is accurate, lawful and does not disclose confidential, commercially sensitive, personal or site-security information. AFME may review, edit, moderate or remove submitted content where appropriate.

Supplier and industry information

Inclusion of a supplier, product, organisation or industry partner does not by itself constitute technical endorsement by AFME.

Website availability

AFME may amend, suspend or withdraw website content and services as the association develops.
