AFME-EM-04 Food Engineering Leadership Competency Framework

A leadership competency framework for engineering managers and Heads of Engineering in UK food manufacturing. Being a good engineer and being a good engineering leader are not the same thing. The framework sets out 50 competencies in five sections (Technical and Process Engineering; Food Safety and Hygiene Engineering; Health, Safety and Legal Compliance; Leadership and People; Business, Projects and Strategy), each with clear levels so you can see where you are, where you need to be and what to work on next. Every competency links to the AFME resources that help you develop it. Written for the UK: UK law, FSA and HSE guidance, BRCGS and UK retailer codes of practice.
