What happened

Food Manufacture reported that around 100 Unite members at Diageo's Cameronbridge distillery had backed strike action in a dispute involving jobs, pay and conditions. More than 70 roles are reported to be under review at the Fife site, which employs around 200 people and is described as Europe's largest grain distillery. At the time of publication, specific strike dates had not yet been announced. Claims about the likely severity of operational disruption are union claims and should not be treated as confirmed production outcomes.
