AFME Asset Management Plan Series AMP-01 to AMP-06
The AFME Asset Management Plan series in plain English: six practical guides that take an engineering team from setting direction to running a reliable, well-recorded maintenance system in a food factory. Written with simple real-life examples, they are also the reference documents for the AFME Asset Management Fundamentals course and are referred to by the BRCGS engineering forms F03, F04, F08 and F09.
What is included
- AMP-01 Setting Direction: policy, goals and measuring progress (16 pages)
- AMP-02 Deciding What Matters and How to Maintain It: criticality and maintenance strategy (15 pages)
- AMP-03 Spare Parts and the Engineering Store (11 pages)
- AMP-04 Equipment Through Its Life: buying, checking and replacing (13 pages)
- AMP-05 Records, the Maintenance System and How Work Flows (13 pages)
- AMP-06 Technical Reference: reliability engineering methods, formulas and limits (22 pages)
Who this resource is for
Heads of Engineering, engineering and maintenance managers, reliability engineers, maintenance planners, stores and spares controllers, and engineers building or improving a maintenance system.
How to use this resource
1. Start with AMP-01 to agree what the maintenance system is for and how progress will be measured.
2. Use AMP-02 to rank assets and set the right maintenance for each.
3. Work through AMP-03 to AMP-05 for spares, equipment life and records.
4. Keep AMP-06 as the technical reference for reliability calculations.
5. Members can also take the Asset Management Fundamentals course, which follows the same series.
