AFME-FSC-05 Metal Detector and X-ray Daily Check Sheet
A daily performance and failsafe test record for metal detectors and X-ray inspection systems, with clear actions when a test fails. Metal detection and X-ray inspection are often critical control points, and their value depends on correct set-up, regular testing with the right test pieces and a reliable reject system. Test piece sizes, positions and frequencies must come from your HACCP plan and customer codes of practice.

How to use this resource
1. Enter the unit details and the approved test pieces and sizes for each product.
2. Test at start-up, at the frequency set by your HACCP plan, at product changes, after maintenance and at the end of production.
3. Pass each test piece in or on the product, in the position your procedure specifies.
4. Confirm each test piece is rejected into the locked reject bin, not just detected.
5. If any test fails, stop the line, quarantine product since the last good test and follow the failed-test procedure.
