The UK Statutory Inspection Calendar for Food Factory Engineering
The legal examinations and tests a UK food site must keep in date (PSSR, LOLER, LEV, electrical, fire, F-gas, X-ray and more) and how to run them as one controlled calendar.
Why this matters in UK food manufacturing Statutory inspections are the part of engineering where "we were busy" is not a defence. An out-of-date boiler examination or forklift LOLER certificate can stop equipment being used, invalidate insurance and lead to enforcement. Most sites have the inspections done; the risk is that they sit in different spreadsheets, contractor portals and insurer reports, and the defects they find are never closed. In plain English The law says some equipment must be checked by a competent person at set times, because if it fails people can be badly hurt. The inspection itself is only half the job. The other half is fixing what the inspector finds, on time. 1.
